Our Heat Wave!

Today we had a heat wave in Michigan! It was in the upper 40's! We took Alex outside to splash in the melting snow puddles.

He loves marching around in his boots.

He found a big puddle he liked to march through!

The water was REALLY cold!

It didn't bother our little fish! This pretty much finished our outside outing...it was too cold to be in wet clothes!

Finally Feeding Myself!

As some of you know, Alex hasn't been feeding himself from his fingers. He tries to scoop with a spoon but has a hard time with that as well. About 3 weeks ago Alex started eating Teddy Grahams on his own. However, he would not touch anything soft or squishy.

Today, he ate about 10 bites of pancakes off of his tray all by himself!!! Yeah Alex!!!

JUST AN UPDATE...The next day Alex ate mandarin orange slices and spaghetti off his tray too!!

Trains!

Alex LOVES trains! He calls them La-La's (which is his word for Choo Choo). Here he is at his Aunt Vicky's house playing with the trains. Enjoy the pics!!!

...we picked up a scared little boy from the Achinsk Baby House in Siberia Russia.

He is learning how to really play with toys...

Legos are his favorite!

He has gained 8 pounds!

He has learned how to be a little silly...

And very happy!

6 months ago God gave us an amazing miracle wrapped up in our little Alex. The time has gone by so fast We love you Alex!!!

Good News from the doctor!

So, we went for Alex's eye doctor appointment and the doctor was very happy. He said that Alex's eyes have made improvements over the last 3 months. We might not have to have eye surgery! Alex has to wear a patch over his good eye every day for 2 hours. In 6 weeks we will get him re-evaluated. Lets pray that this eye patch strengthens Alex's eye enough!!!
