Adoption Update and Alex's New Room

Just wanted to give an update...

We had our homestudy for our next adoption last week. Right now we are working on collecting our paperwork...employee letters, doctor letters, state police letters, financial statements, etc. We are hoping to be done soon with our part of the homestudy. After we are done with that paperwork we start the dossier while we wait for our homestudy to be complete.

Then...we have to file CIS paperwork and get fingerprinted by Citizenship and Immigration downtown Detroit. And we have to file our dossier in Russia. We are hoping to have our Dossier translated and sent to Russia by sometime in October.

They told us there is a 4-6 month wait for a referral for a little boy in the region we are going to. Sorry...can't post any details about that region...but it is closer to Moscow this time. That means we could be getting a referral anytime after the first of the year!!! Crazy huh!! So...pray for our little guy...we don't know who he is ...but he is probably around 6 months old (or older) right now.

Here is Alex's new bedroom:

We have a lot of work to do! We need to get all boxes, Tammy's books and other stuff out hopefully in the next week. Then Jeff is going to put together the bunkbed and we will move Alex's stuff in! The fun really begins when we start getting Alex ready to sleep in his new big boy bed!!!
Lots of changes going on...we will be busy over the next few months!!!

Coloring with Auntie Jenn in his new Dora coloring book from Grandma!

And of course...his favorite was the lake!

When we left the lake Alex kept saying, "Bye water. I love you water. Where are you water?"

We had a blast!
