Melissa and Jon's Wedding

Yesterday was Melissa and Jon's wedding. Mel was very generous to let us bring Alex with us. It is still too early to leave Alex with a babysitter and this way we both got to enjoy the wedding. And Alex had lots of fun! Congrats Melissa and Jon!!!

Uncle Dave's Birthday

Today we had Dave's birthday dinner at our house. We had lots of fun playing outside. Alex doesn't like the feel of grass (he never played in it before). As long as he has socks on he is ok! Happy Birthday Uncle Dave!!!

Greenfield Village

Yesterday we went to Greenfield Village with Aunt Vicky and cousins Gabe and Nate. We have been hanging out with Gabe and Nate, because soon mommy and daddy will be back to work and Alex will be at Aunt Vicky's house during the day. We had lots of fun with Alex at the Village. Alex LOVED the carousel the most!!!

Russia Pictures

Today we just hung out at home. No doctor's appointments today!!!! Mommy had to tutor tonight and she missed her little Alex. But when she got home Daddy was just about to give Alex his bedtime milk and rock him to sleep...so mommy got to do it!!! I haven't downloaded any new pictures...they are still on my camera. Thought I would post some pictures from Russia! Enjoy!

The first pictures are from Moscow on our walk to the Red Square. My favorite is the first picture...a group of tourists found Natalya and Alex very interesting. They were oohing and ahhing at them and taking pictures of them! Alex is famous in Russia!

The next picture is of a park we found in Moscow near our hotel. Alex loved riding in the swings with daddy! Next is me and Alex in front of the biggest McDonalds in Moscow...it was HUGE!!!! And yes...Russian Big Macs taste like American Big Macs...but we had to pay for our ketchup!

The next picture is Alex falling out of his crib in Moscow...those cribs would not pass US regulations! And the last picture is of me and Alex by our hotel in Krasnoyarsk.

One more pound...

Yeah! Alex gained a pound!!! We are working on catching him up:) Here is a picture of Alex doing pull ups on our fooseball table!

Well, I am offically finished unpacking and doing laundry from Russia! Just wanted to share my excitement!!! Here is a picture of Alex by his kitchen in the basement. Mommy filled up the sink with water and we splashed EVERYWHERE! Daddy didn't really like the mess we made! The other picture is Alex in his jumper. He really doesn't jump in it...he likes to swing and he has figured out how to spin around and then pick up his feet as it unwinds. We are enjoying this week before Jeff has to go back to work:(

Hanging with my cousins!

Yesterday we went to the cottage and Alex loved being with Nate and Gabe. Gabe was a good big cousin and kept an eye on Alex. Alex loved watching Nate and Gabe and EVERYONE loved the pool!

Alex and Blue

Here is a picture of Alex and Blue looking out our window (it is usually Blue's window...she is sharing very well!) Blue really likes to lick Alex's toes. Alex doesn't seem to mind. The best is when Alex is sleeping. He will sometimes stick his feet out of the crib. Blue will sneak down the hallway and I will find her sitting by the crib, licking Alex's feet, and Alex just sleeps right through it!

We went to the doctor today and found out Alex has pneumonia :( But he is on antibiotics so he should be better soon. Seriously though, does this look like a child with pneumonia?

Still Tired...

Here is a picture of Alex playing in his pool outside. He LOVES water!!! We are still adusting to the new time zone. Alex is still waking up 2-3 times at night ready to start the day. I have been told it can take several days to a week to get him adjusted. We were also told that lots of sunshine during the day will help so we plan on taking a lot of walks and playing in our pool a lot!

Home and getting settled!

We arrived home from Russia on Saturday, July 12th. It was a long day but we all survived! Our flight from Moscow to Frankfort was 4.5 hours long and the flight to Detroit was almost 9 hours. Alex slept for 3 hours total on the plane...we were hoping for more! We were welcomed home to the US by our whole family. They had balloons, US flags, and... cameras! It was great to be home and see everyone.

Yesterday (Sunday) we had lots of visitors. Nana and Papa came to visit. Grandma and Grandpa came and brought Blue home. Aunt Vicky and Uncle Walter came over with Alex's cousins - Gabe and Nate. Alex was VERY tired and fell alseep before everyone went home.

Today we are just hanging out. Mommy and Daddy have a lot of unpacking to do and laundry. Alex is busy exploring his new home. We will write more later and add more pictures!
